The Rivers of Gambia & Senegal: A 7-Night Cruise. Embark on a 7-night cruise designed to satisfy your curiosity and love for adventure. Experience outstanding wildlife viewing on a yacht cruise along the West African coast and upstream the Gambia River, deep into the African continent. Discover the waterways of Senegal and Gambia, visiting four remarkable natural reserves: the Sine Saloum Delta, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and birdwatcher’s paradise; the Djiffere fishing village; River Gambia National Park; the mysterious Wassu stone circles, another UNESCO World Heritage site; Bao Bolong Wetland Reserve; and Kiang West National Park in Gambia.
Late afternoon embarkation at 3 to 4 pm. After dinner, we set sail southward towards the Saloum River Delta.
Overnight at sea, south along the coast.
This morning we reach the Sine-Saloum Delta in Senegal, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Important Birding Area. Our Joal Fadiout optional excursion starts at the fishing village of Djiffer, leading to Joal Fadiouth, a village set on an island of clam shells. In the afternoon, we leave Senegal and sail south to Gambia, reaching Banjul, the capital and gateway to the Gambia River. Fishermen Night -
Overnight in Banjul.
The morning in Banjul offers optional half-day excursions to Bakau, featuring the crocodile "Katchikaly," and a brief Banjul tour including the Royal Albert Market and Historical Museum. Mid-afternoon, we sail upstream to Tendaba, arriving late in the evening.

Take motor pirogues to reach Tendaba for a morning optional excursion through the village and into Kiang West National Park. Spot diverse bird species, Guinea baboons, bushbuck, and more. Return to Tendaba by safari truck, passing local villages. In the afternoon, explore the Bao Bolong Wetland Reserve for birdwatching and boating opportunities.

Early morning departure from Tendaba, sailing upstream to reach Kuntaur by early afternoon. Join a motor pirogue for a 3-hour excursion on the Gambia River, observing Baboon Island's wildlife, including chimps, hippos, and various bird species. Return to Kuntaur for a cultural experience with the "Kankurang" and local dance group.
Overnight docked in Kuntaur.
Morning optional excursion to Janjanbureh, including a ferry ride and tour of one of Gambia's oldest towns. Visit the mysterious stone circles in Wassu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, sail downstream to Kaur for a village walkabout.
Enjoy the Captain's Farewell Dinner while sailing towards Banjul.
Anchor at St. James Island (Kunta Kinteh Island) in the morning, known for its historical significance as a slave trading post and the setting for Alex Haley's "Roots." After exploring the island, sail to Banjul, arriving around 4 pm. Complete formalities and then sail out of the Gambia estuary into the Atlantic Ocean, heading north towards Dakar.

Upon confirmation of reservation a 300,00 EUR (per person) non-refundable deposit is required and balance payment to be paid 60 days before departure.
In case the booking is made less than 60 days before arrival, the total cruise price should be paid.
