Board the Panorama II at Papeete Port by 3:00 pm. Maeva [mah-yeh-vah]—that's "welcome" in Tahitian—expresses our heartfelt greetings as we kick off your French Polynesia adventure. After settling in and meeting your crew and fellow travelers, we’ll embark on our journey to Mo'orea.
We’ll arrive in the late afternoon, enjoy dinner on board, and spend the night at sea.
Mo'orea, with its towering mountain peaks rising from the lagoon, is said to be the inspiration for the mythical Bali Hai in James Michener’s Tales of the South Pacific. Start your day with a morning snorkelling and ray tour, followed by an afternoon nature and culture tour to explore the island’s history and ancient sites. Don’t miss the chance to sample local fruit flavors at the juice factory.
In the afternoon, we’ll sail to Makatea.
Makatea stands out among French Polynesia’s atolls as a raised coral island, home to three endangered bird species: the Makatea fruit dove, imperial pigeon, and reed warbler. Our half-day tour will reveal these unique birds, beautiful beaches with rock pools, and an underwater grotto with stunning stalagmites and stalactites. We’ll depart in the late afternoon for Rangiroa, spending the night at sea.
Please note: Visits to Tuamotu islands are weather-dependent.
Arrive in Rangiroa, the largest atoll in the Tuamotu archipelago, renowned for its exceptional diving. Join our optional full-day tour to the Blue Lagoon, just 16 feet deep, ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and observing marine life. Recharge with a traditional Polynesian picnic before returning to the ship. Overnight at anchor.

After an early morning sail, we’ll reach Tikehau, also known as the Pink Sand Island. Imagine a tropical paradise with pristine turquoise lagoons, stretches of white-sand beaches, and vibrant flowers like bougainvillea and hibiscus, all complemented by pink sand. Enjoy the colorful sands or explore the vibrant marine life, praised by Jacques Cousteau for its high fish concentration. Join our optional tour to Tuherahera and a family-owned fish farm to learn about their successful aquaculture methods. In the afternoon, we’ll sail to Huahine.
Huahine, once a residence of Tahitian royalty, is a lush island adorned with ancient marae (temples) dating back to 700 AD. Spend the night in port.
Explore the island with our optional tour, visiting various temples and small villages, feeding the sacred blue-eyed eels of Faie Bay, and touring a vanilla plantation. Vanilla lovers will find some of the best and most affordable beans here. Sail overnight to Bora Bora.
Choose from various optional activities in Bora Bora, including a 4x4 Bora Bora Cultural Safari, snorkelling with stingrays and sharks, or a tour by "Le Truck".
Overnight in port (docked or at anchor).
Raiatea, meaning ‘faraway heaven’ and ‘sky with soft light’, lives up to its name. Choose an optional excursion with a local guide to Uturoa, the cultural and administrative center, visit Mount Temehani and the ancient Marae of Taputapuatea, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or opt for a kayaking tour along the Faaroa River. In the afternoon, we’ll set sail back to Papeete.
